Last Friday I was so pleased to participate in the celebration of the newly renovated Carriage House at the historic Gore Place in Waltham, MA. Gore Place is the historic home of former Massachusetts Governor Christopher Gore and his wife Rebecca, which has been maintained by the Gore Place Society since 1935.
I had been wanting to get involved and volunteer time in my community, so what could be better then planning a celebration of this beautiful historic property. I feel that it’s important to participate in helping these architectural gems survive. Being on the planning board for the Carriage House Celebration inspired me in more ways then I expected – new friendships being top of my list!
In the planning stages, I wanted to create a visual map of the tables to know that all of the elements would translate (I guess type A is always type A!). I’m thankful to have my lovely assistant Carolyn who renders my thoughts into a beautiful drawing.
